Area Link Scarab Riches is an online slot game that was developed and released by Area Vegas in 2024. It was released as part of the Area Link series, incorporating similar mechanics from other online slots in the series, including the same playgrid layout and bonuses as some other instalments. To help this title distinguish itself from others in the series, Area Vegas has added an ancient Egyptian theme, which is displayed well in the backdrop design and the symbols.

Area Link Scarab Riches Game Background

The Area Link Scarab Riches slot game showcases a 5x3 playgrid, allowing for 15 symbols to land on the reels on each spin. Across this playgrid, there is a fixed payline count of 20, which, like in classic slots, all begin at the leftmost reel and run from left to right in consecutive columns.

Area Link Scarab Riches Bonus Features

To add to the base play of Area Link Scarab Riches, the developers have implemented some interesting bonus features to the gameplay, starting with the wild symbol. If this wild lands on the reels, it can step in for any base game symbol to complete or extend a matching combination across a payline.

Whenever one or more scarab symbols appear on the reels in the Area Link Scarab Riches slot, they will be added to the statue of the same colour above the reels. Each time one of these scarab symbols is collected into its coloured meters, there is a chance that the Area Link feature is triggered. If this feature is triggered in Area Link Scarab Riches, the combination of Anubis statues that are activated will determine the scarab upgrades that are awarded. In the Area Link bonus, 3 respins will be awarded, with all scarab symbols that land during the feature becoming locked and resetting the respins count.

Green Scarab - If the green scarab symbol triggers the Area Link feature, a multiplier ranging from 2x to 5x will be awarded to every spin. This multiplier value will be awarded to all scarab symbols that appear on that spin, before they lock in place.
Purple Scarab - If the purple scarab symbol triggers the Area Link feature, a second playgrid will be presented in the same 5x3 form. Both of these playgrids will play out individually, with their own respins count.
Red Scarab - If the red scarab symbol triggers the Area Link feature and the red scarab symbol appears on the reels, it will collect the value of all the scarabs already present on the reels.
Blue Scarab - If the blue scarab symbol triggers the Area Link feature, blue scarabs may appear on the reels during the bonus. Each time one of these blue scarabs appears on the reels, its value will be added to a random number of symbols already present on the reels.
