The base gameplay of Bash Bros takes place on a 5x4 grid that allows for up to 1,024 paylines, and therefore, ways to form matching symbol combinations. Then there are also cash symbols that, when they land, will activate and expand upward to the top of the reel in which they land. When they expand, they turn into cash stack symbols and reveal a multiplier for every position they are featured on. The available multipliers include x1, x2, x3, x4, x5, x10, x25, x50, x100, x1000, x5000, and x10000. Once expanded, the cash stack multiplier values will be added and multiplied by the player's current stake before being awarded to the player.

Once cash stack features are complete, there is a random chance that Oskar, the character to the left of the grid, will activate and bash Fred on the right side. If this happens, 1-4 symbols will be removed from 1 random reel that does not contain a cash stack, and at least 1 cash symbol will be added. If Fred smashes the grid, however, all cash stacks are compressed towards their original cash symbol, and 1 new multiplier is applied to every symbol they were covering. 

If players are able to land 3 scatter symbols, they will trigger the game's free spins round and be provided with 10 free spins. In this round, the gameplay remains the same; however, the chance of landing cash symbols is increased. If this round is triggered with 4 or more scatters, however, one of the Oskar or Fred bonuses will be activated every time a cash symbol lands on the grid.
