Rainbow Riches Drops of Gold slot
Light & Wonder brings you Rainbow Riches Drops of Gold, another entry in the long-running Rainbow Riches series of online slots which debuted on the iGaming market in 2018. This release utilises imagery based on the Irish luck genre that has proven so popular amongst slot games, alongside some established and totally original game mechanics. The Rainbow Riches Drops of Gold slot game retains the familiar Irish theme associated with the series while introducing the titular mechanic.
Rainbow Riches Drops of Gold Background
Rainbow Riches Drops of Gold uses a classic 5x4 playgrid, with the standard game featuring 50 prize lines. Some game modes can alter this structure, with the number of available prize lines increasing during certain bonus features in play.
The setting continues the Irish theme seen throughout the wider Rainbow Riches series, with a countryside landscape of trees and a meadow surrounding the main playgrid. A large rainbow sits above the reels, acting as a conveyor belt carrying Gold and Silver Pots towards a separate drop zone that is positioned directly above the main game. To the right and left of the rainbow are banners with the title of the game, Rainbow Riches Drops of Gold, draped. To the bottom right of the screen below the playgrid, sits the play button as well as the bet stake options and paytable feature.
Rainbow Riches Drops of Gold is one of several games within the popular Rainbow Riches series, alongside titles including the original Rainbow Riches and Rainbow Riches Rainbow Frenzy.
Rainbow Riches Drops of Gold Symbols

Rainbow Riches Drops Of Gold Bonus Features
The gold and silver pots of gold play as the Wild symbols in Rainbow Riches Drops of Gold, capable of stepping in for any base game symbols to make or increase a combination. These bonus additions are featured in many classic and even jackpot slots, though the triggering method is unique here, through the Drops of Gold mechanic. Silver pots of gold can step in for only base game symbols, whilst the gold pot symbols have a similar wild function but can substitute for the Bonus symbols as well.
The Drops of Gold Bonus is the main feature connected to the separate drop zone positioned directly above the playgrid. Throughout the game, silver and gold pot symbols can appear within this area, with a randomised number and order of wild pots landing in each spin. If a Drops of Gold symbol is visible at the end of a spin, all of the pot symbols currently displayed within the drop zone fall onto their corresponding positions on the reels below.
Rainbow Riches Drops of Gold features a free spins round that can be triggered when three or more Bonus symbols land in a single spin. Landing three bonus symbols awards 8 free spins, while every additional Bonus symbol that appears adds another +4 spins to the feature. The Drops of Gold mechanic remains connected to the free spins feature, as bonus symbols continue to appear during these rounds and can retrigger additional spins. If the Drops of Gold symbols land during these free spins, there are 100 paylines in play where symbol combinations could be formed in Rainbow Riches Drops of Gold.
